2025 Memorial Golf & Charity Event

The first Todd Kuczma Memorial Charity Golf Tournament was held on June 12, 2025, at the Golf Club at Delacour Crossing and was an overwhelming success.

Eighty of Todd’s closest friends, family, and associates came together for an afternoon Texas Scramble. They were later joined by additional guests for dinner, conversation, and the continuation of the charity auction.

Together, participants and supporters raised $11,350 in support of Kids Cancer Care. An anonymous donor generously matched this with an additional $7,000, bringing the 2025 total to $18,350—and the 10-year fundraising total to $127,398. Todd would have been proud to see his friends support this cause with such generosity.

This incredible day would not have been possible without the support of many people and organizations. I would especially like to thank:

Scotty Fraser and The Golf Club at Delacour Crossing, for graciously hosting the tournament and making everyone feel welcome.

Clint Thompson and Scotsman’s Well, for hosting the dinner and providing an outstanding meal.

All our sponsors, who contributed generously to the auction. Their names appear on the attached sponsor banner, which was proudly displayed throughout the day.

Most of all, heartfelt thanks go to Mike Knight—Todd’s lifelong golfing buddy—who brought it all together. Mike understood how deeply Todd cared about Kids Cancer Care and dedicated countless hours organizing the event and reaching out to the community. Thank you, Mike.

In the final week leading up to the tournament, Cathy Bate stepped in to support Mike by picking up and delivering many of the auction items. Your help was greatly appreciated. Thank you, Cathy.

To everyone who contributed in any way—thank you. Your generosity and friendship helped us honor Todd’s memory and continue supporting a cause that meant so much to him: helping kids living with cancer.

1.) This BlackWolf Bracket is a Team Net Best Ball Match Play Tournament. $250 per team + Gst.

2.) 50% Handicaps will be used be each player (always round down). The lowest handicapped player in the group will play as a Zero. For ex.) Player A is a 6 Handicap and all other players are 10 handicaps. Player B,C & D will receive 50% of 4. So Player B,C & D will receive 2 shots for the match on the 2 hardest holes on the golf course. Every player must have a Verifiable, up to date Handicap. If a player cannot prove their handicap on the 1st tee, they MUST play as a zero for that match. RCGA and all other App’s are acceptable. Plus handicap players must play to their better than zero handicap.

3.) Teams are encouraged to mutually decide where to play their matches. If the two teams cannot decide where to play, the top team picks 3 courses and the bottom team picks one of the 3 courses to play.

4.) The two teams are encouraged to agree on what tee box to play. If they can’t come to an agreement the closest tee box to 6500 yards must be played.

5.) The players are responsible for the cost of their green fees.

6.) If the two teams cannot play their match within the time period, the result will be decided by the rules committee based on who made the most effort to schedule the match. A coin toss will be used if both teams equally attempted to schedule the match.

7.) One substitute player is allowed per team. If the original player cannot return after one match, the substitute becomes the permanent player for the matches moving forward. The substitute player must be someone who is not currently (alive) in the event. Original Player can return after an extended period of time off, if the reason is for family emergency, illness or injury.

8.) Every rule or decision will be made by our Rules Committee. Please contact Rick Langille or Craig Vogel and collectively a decision will be made.

9.) If match is tied after 18 holes, sudden death playoff will occur if the golf course is available, (shots will fall on the applicable holes) If the golf course is not available for a sudden death playoff, the two teams can either replay the match, or play a one hole playoff at a later date.

10.) Winning team of match is responsible for reporting the match result and where it was played to blackwolfgolf@gmail.com
