Official Rules
1.) This BlackWolf Bracket is a Team Net Best Ball Match Play Tournament. $210 per team + Gst.
2.) 75% Handicaps will be used be each player (always round down). The lowest handicapped player in the group will play as a Zero. For ex.) Player A is a 6 Handicap and all other players are 10 handicaps. Player B,C & D will receive 75% of 4. So Player B,C & D will receive 3 shots for the match on the 3 hardest holes on the golf course. Every player must have a Verifiable, up to date Handicap. If a player cannot prove their handicap on the 1st tee, they MUST play as a zero for that match. RCGA and all other App’s are acceptable. Plus handicap players must play to their better than zero handicap.
3.) If a team loses their 1st match they are entered into the “B” side draw.
4.) Teams are encouraged to mutually decide where to play their matches. If the two teams cannot decide where to play, the top team picks 3 courses and the bottom team picks one of the 3 courses to play.
5.) The two teams are encouraged to agree on what tee box to play. If they can’t come to an agreement the closest tee box to 6500 yards must be played.
6.) The players are responsible for the cost of their green fees.
7.) If the two teams cannot play their match within the time period, the result will be decided by the rules committee based on who made the most effort to schedule the match. A coin toss will be used if both teams equally attempted to schedule the match.
8.) One substitute player is allowed per team. If the original player cannot return after one match, the substitute becomes the permanent player for the matches moving forward. The substitute player must be someone who is not currently (alive) in the event. Original Player can return after an extended period of time off, if the reason is for family emergency, illness or injury.
9.) Every rule or decision will be made by our Rules Committee. Please contact Jeff Wittup / Rick Langille or Craig Vogel and collectively a decision will be made.
10.) If match is tied after 18 holes, sudden death playoff will occur if the golf course is available, (shots will fall on the applicable holes) If the golf course is not available for a sudden death playoff, the two teams can either replay the match, or play a one hole playoff at a later date.
11.) Winning team of match is responsible for reporting the match result and where it was played to blackwolfgolf@gmail.com

It started with Todd....
The idea for Blackwolf Golf began in 2014, when Todd working for a Calgary company, was asked to participate in an inter-office golf tournament. Of course, he agreed. Only problem, there were only 4 teams entered, which was not enough. Todd reached out to his friends and fellow members of the Calgary golf community, and was able to organize the initial event with 32 teams.
Todd recognized the desire and need for a tournament like this, and the following year he organized a tournament with 132 teams from the Calgary area. In May 2015 the business was incorporated under the name Blackbull Golf Inc. The inspiration for the name came from the statue of a powerful, black bull which Todd saw in the office every day when he came to work. He approached the owner, explained his idea for a local golf tournament named after the bull, and asked to purchase the statue. The owner, a generous man, donated trophy. In the midst of a serious downturn in the Alberta economy, the owner wished him the best of luck and every success. The owner must have been a golfer.
Unfortunately, the name did not last long. Within a couple of weeks, a golf club in central Alberta, Blackbull Golf Club, contacted Todd, and asked him to change the name. And that’s how Blackwolf Golf Inc. came to be.
